How do I add a new medication?
My doctor just prescribed a new drug. How do I add it to my list of medications? What are special instructions?
Adding a new prescription to RememberItNow! is easy. Simply click on the orange “Add a medication” button at the top of your Medication dashboard to get started.

When the pop-up window appears, start by filling in the name of your medication. You can either type the name in, or browse names and choose your selected medication. In the image below, look where the red arrow is pointed. This is where you can “Browse Names” of various medications. If you don’t see the name of your medication, go ahead and contact us. We’ll do our best to add your medication to the list as soon as possible.

After you enter the name of your drug, fill in the rest of the information like, what it’s for, the strength, the prescription number, how often you should take it, and the date you should stop.
You can use the special instructions area to provide medication instructions such as, “take with food” or you can give care givers directions of where the medication might be located, “pills are on bedroom night stand.” You can use this area for your own unique coding system to recognize medications such as “blue sticker” or “orange pill.”
This is helpful for people that can’t read the small print on medication labels. Or if you’ve organized pills into a pill dispenser you can note that as well.
Remember to enter all the needed data like your prescription name, dosage, time, and more. You can also schedule refill reminders too.
Be sure to add each dosage of your medication if you take it more than once a day. For example, if you take one pill in the morning and one in the evening you will add a dosage for 9:00 a.m. and then schedule a second dosage for 9:00 p.m. before you go to bed. Click the grey “add” button each time.
If you still need some more help, read more about adding dosages on your medication reminder.
