We would like to give a warm welcome to our new Medical History section today! It has now become another important member of the RememberItNow! family.

You only have to complete your RememberItNow! medical history form once and it’s ready to share with anyone.  Find it by clicking on your Account user name in the top right corner. Then you will see Medical History in the center of your page.

We all know gathering your medical history is a pain. It’s not something you do every day, but when you need to, it always seems to be in a crunch. And if you can’t find all the pieces you need, RememberItNow! remembers your medical history for you.

You have probably heard the horror stories of ER trips gone wrong because the medical history was too difficult to obtain. Or you do realize its importance, but procrastination sets in, and it becomes harder and harder to set aside time.

If you find yourself in a medical emergency, office personnel can easily access your RememberItNow! medical history online and make a copy providing them all the important information needed.

This saves you time from taking extra tests and repeating answers to the same medical questions over and over again. Take advantage of our new feature and avoid this scenario.

Your medical history form isn’t just for emergencies either. You need to provide it every time you see a new doctor, when switching health insurance, starting a new job, and more. It’s also important to have when you are planning a family and need to understand your genetic history with your partner.

There are many other resources in addition to RememberItNow! that can help you gather all of your medical history and store your medical history online. The American Medical Association is a great resource for accessing different types of medical history forms.

Now that genetic research has grown more and more successful, AMA provides access to a free Prenatal Genetic Screening Questionnaire which can help you learn more about what illnesses you could be more susceptible to.

Also on the AMA website you will find the popular research video, “Family History: A Window on Your Health” from the National Human Genome Research Institute web site. This informative video provides reasons and tips for gathering all of your medical history accurately.
