2009 Wrap Up

Pamela Swingley - January 27, 2010

Looking back on 2009, it’s been an amazing first year for RememberItNow! We were very busy laying a foundation for our official launch in 2010. Before we get too far into the new year, we wanted to take a moment to share with all of you some of the highlights of 2009 for us.

Our First Workers
RememberItNow! is a lean organization, comprised of a team of people that do great work together. In 2009 we had the opportunity to work with exceptional design, marketing, public relations, software development, and quality assurance people. They all played a big role in getting RememberItNow! off the ground.

Video Fun
We made this video featuring my Dad as part of the application process for the TechCrunch50 conference. While we were not accepted, the video has become a great marketing tool for us.

Getting the Word Out
We built our marketing materials as we created the application. This way everything fits together. Here are a few of our 2009 projects:
* Our website
* Newsletter - signup to get news from us!
* This blog
* Help - really support with a marketing spin

A Prezi Love Affair
We feel in love with Prezi, the flash-based presentation service. Faced with an alternative to PowerPoint, and free to build our own exciting animated presentations we went a bit crazy for two weeks. We learned Prezi works well for small presentations, but not so great for big ones, like pitching an angel investor. The initial passion has subsided, but we still are big fans. Watch our Prezis here.

Our First Customers
We’re not sure how they find us, but they do. And they make us very happy. Our beta customers are some brave folks as they work with us to get the kinks out. More than 125 of you signed up. We hope RememberItNow! is keeping you healthier.

RememberItNow! Comes to Life
Coding for RememberItNow! started in January 2009. Throughout the year we’ve worked to build the best eHealth service on the market. It’s been a total thrill to see our concepts come to life. It’s been a remarkable effort for a very small, yet very, very talented team.

More Than Medication Reminders
V1 of RememberItNow! was all about easy to use, reliable, flexible medication reminders. And then we grew a bit, and then a bit more. Today we’re pleased to report that while we have an amazing medication reminder system, we also offer an easy to use personal health record, and private care community.

RememberItNow! in the News
Early press reviews helped us shape a better product, and identify what we do really well. Patient-centric, ePatient, patient empowerment. In short, we make eHealth easy.

PC Magazine called us: “”Much sleeker and easier to use than Microsoft HealthVault and Google Health.”

Friendly Fridays
Much of our work is done in isolation. To be a bit more connected we started Friendly Fridays - where we invite our clients, vendors, contractors, neighboors and my Dad to lunch on the deck. It’s a small, local tradition now, but one that we plan to extend to information meet-ups around the country so that we can meet you.

That’s a quick selection of things from 2009. We wish you a healthy 2010.
